Inside, a dark, covered interior and a fleece-topped foam cushion give a den-like sense of enclosure, well suited to dogs who settle better away from bright light and open sightlines. The door lifts and slides back under the top rather than swinging open into the room, so it never chips paint or catches on nearby furniture. A secure latch keeps things closed when needed, and side vents keep air moving throughout.
