Are the bowls dishwasher safe?
Yes — both stainless steel bowls are dishwasher safe. Remove from the base before washing. The ABS plastic base is not dishwasher safe — wipe clean with a damp cloth only.
What size pets does this fit?
The bowls are sized for cats and small to medium dogs. The bowl capacity and height (3.35") are appropriate for cats, kittens, and dogs up to approximately 25 lbs. For larger dogs, we recommend the Elevated Dog Feeding Station with Storage Cabinet.
Does the base prevent the bowls from sliding?
The bowls sit in recessed seats in the base and do not slide during use. The base itself has a non-slip bottom surface that prevents the whole unit from moving on hard floors. On smooth polished surfaces, some movement may occur — placing it against a wall or cabinet edge eliminates this.
Is the plastic food-safe?
Yes — the base is made from ABS plastic which is food-safe and BPA-free. The bowl contact surfaces are stainless steel throughout.
Can I use just one bowl at a time?
Yes — both bowls detach independently. You can use one bowl for food and one for water, or remove one entirely if you only need a single bowl at a time.
